Update on us...

Since I had a few minutes this morning I will update on what we have been doing. Saturday I got to go to my upline ReNae's open house it was way fun and we did some cute projects with all the new CTMH paper packs and each SOTM. Way way cute. I will post pics when I can find the battery charger to my camera. :( Tonight I am teaching a "How to make your own baby food" class at the community college outreach center, so I have been working on that. The kids have been sick since Sunday, I think just terrible colds. Poor Kash though when he lays down his nose runs back into his throat and he just gags and gags and never sleeps. He is miserable. Friday Kade is taking the day off and we are going to Provo. I am going to the big CTMH sale there, then we are hopefully getting family pics taken, and maybe going to Cabellas and if the kids are healthy and happy going to Cambria's birthday party. Saturday we are branding...so Kade will be gone all day. I can't remember what its like to have a weekend to do nothing!! I got released from the primary presidency on Sunday they are re-organizing it. I am so sad, I absolutely loved that calling and the ladies I served with. Anyway, that is a quick update, hope all is well with you.

We made it home.

We are home tonight from our wonderful but fast trip to Colorado for my grandpa's 70th surprise birthday party! It was so so fun to see everyone and get to visit and I am so glad to have been able to be there as I would not have missed it for the world. My kids are THE best kids in this entire world...we have traveled almost 1300 miles in less than 60 hours and they did not cause any chaos or have any melt downs or hysterias in the car. They were absolute angels. I am so lucky. I put together just a simple slide show of some of the pics from over the weekend to share with the family...I will add a few more that my mom took when I get them downloaded. You can see...we had a blast!! Some of the pics were really shadowed...I had to play with them to get the images to even show up and in turn some of the colors are distorted.

Happy to be home, but so glad we were able to go.

Easter

Our Easter was great. Saturday we went to the annual Martin Easter Egg hunt...it was so fun. Kadence LOVES her cousins and had a ball playing with the girls. Now that she is getting old enough to keep up with the older ones she just tags along with them and thinks she is so big. Despite the snow outside, she had a blast finding the eggs and eating the candy.

Kash was a good boy despite the fact he doesn't feel all that great. He started getting fussy Friday night and by Sunday and Monday has been pretty miserable. I took him to the pediatrician finally yesterday and he has a yeast infection and some sort of virus in his throat that is causing some uncomfortable blisters. So instead of him being happy perfect baby 100% of the time he is only 97% of the time. How am I going to bare it. :) He is everyones dream baby. He has been a lot better yesterday and today.

Sunday, was a nice relaxing day...we went to church then went to mom's church. Josh talked and did a wonderful job! Then we met at mom's and had a wonderful dinner, she did an amazing job on it. Elise and Todd came, me and the kids, Josh, and dad came a little later after his meetings. We missed Megan terribly and of course Matt and Aubri too, but we are getting used to them not joining us for things like that anymore. The kids's Easter clothes looked darling on them...I wish I could have gotten more pics, but 9am church is a challenge for us and they weren't that happy to begin with.

This week is fairly busy, just getting the house ready for an appraisal on Thursday FINALLY to re-finance on a lower interest rate. I will be glad when all that is done. This weekend is my scrapbook retreat I have been looking so forward to, Friday and Saturday. Mom is coming with me and tending Kash for me so I can participate and enjoy myself without being mommy at the same time. I hope its fun for her to relax and spend time with him. Anyway....back to the grind stone. I have a layout done for Easter with the kids's pics. I will try and post when I get my computer back from Dell repair hopefully tomorrow. I miss all my pictures on my hard drive.

Where has the time gone?

Wow, I have neglected my blog once again. It is amazing how a week can just fly by and you don't even realize it. I don't even really know what has happened to update you on. We are all doing great still, the kids have still managed to stay healthy so that is wonderful. I am almost done with my retreat project that has taken me forever...and has to be mailed out today so I really need to get it finished. It will be nice to have my table cleaned off again. Friday I took the kids down to Ogden to find them Easter clothes, I found a beautiful dress for Kadence, "Grammy" wanted to buy it for her. She has always wanted a crown and in that dress shop they had a tiny tiarra for only $6 so I bought it for her to wear in her hair. She is going to look darling. I couldn't find anything for Kash but finally resulted to good old Walmart for a little sweater outfit and khakis (sp?) Anyway I will post pictures of Easter morning so you can see them.
Elise met me and we went and got the kids's clothes at the mall and then went to her house and changed our clothes...then headed to Salt Lake for my cousins wedding. It was fun to see all my cousins even though I hardly got to talk to any of them other than "Hi how are you?" "Good" and then I would have to run off to get Kadence off the stage or stop her from opening the bride and grooms presents or get her hands out of the candy jars they had there along the table. It was a workout. I was sad I didn't get to talk to more of them and really visit. We didn't get home until almost 10:30 pm that part wasn't fun, but thankfully mom rode home with me and kept me company and helped with the kids.

Tonight I have a Primary Party (I am in the presidency), tomorrow is Book Club for Relief Society, and Thursday is my scrapbook Club night. Soo, I do have a busy week. Saturday will be the Martin family annual Easter egg hunt and lunch so that will be fun. And then the week will be over.

I also just wanted to say on here, Happy Birthday to my wonderful Grandma Chloe, her birthday was Friday and I never even called her. What a poor excuse for a grandaughter I am!! She knows I love her though, and that I can just be a bit ditzy!

Catching up...

Wow, I have really slacked off this last week on posting! I guess my excuse could be that things have been a little bit crazy though. Looking back on the last week, I had my club meeting Wednesday night and it was way way fun, I hope everyone there had as much fun as I did! Thursday early Kade left for NV with his brothers for a horse show, and I took the kids to Salt Lake City to see my grandma and to hang out with my friend Candie all day. It was way way fun!! Candie has a little girl that is the same age as Kadence so they played all day long, and Candie and I share the love for crafts so we get to sit and share ideas and browse catalogs together. She used to be a CTMH consultant but now is Stampin Up so we get double the ideas and fun.

My grandma loved to see the kids and she loved the hardbound book I made her, she looked really good and her spirits were high so it was all and all a wonderful trip. Friday we just hung out all day, I read this book "Twilight" big Stephanie Meyer that I was totally hooked into and couldn't put down...then cleaned my house up until 1 am so when Kade got home it looked like I had been productive all day. I am getting the 2nd book "New Moon" today, so I am making myself get all my chores done this morning so I can read the rest of the afternoon. Kade got home about 4am Saturday, we tried to sleep in then went and got my sister Megan's stuff from my parents (they are all in D.C.) and helped her get all moved into her new house back down in Salt Lake City. The weather was HORRIBLE, Kade and I were both saying we hadn't been in snowy wet weather like that, that bad, for a long time. It was so wet and then froze that the roads were just sheer ice. It was an adventure. Yesterday was Stake Conference so we just hung out all day together and tried to keep things mellow to keep the sabbath, we didn't want to take the kids out for one more week. It sure has been nice to have healthy kids!!

Anyway, I do have some projects to share I just need to get them loaded, and for the next two weeks will be busting my butt to create an amazing project for a retreat I am going to the last weekend in March, my uplines upline, puts it on...it is so fun. But my swap project has to be to her by the 20th and I want it to be amazing. I got the paper ordered so as soon as it arrives...everything else goes on hold.

What a great weekend.

This weekend has been so nice. It started Friday night when Elise came and stayed the night. So fun to have her here to visit...even though she was a little occupated with her "friend". Then Saturday morning we got up and I took Kash to mom's....Kade kept Kadence, and I headed off to Utah to go shopping. All by myself!! No kids. I got down to the mall, Elise and I headed in and started marking things off my list of things to do. It was a successful fun day, I got a lot of things I needed and at great prices for Presidents Day. I ended up with 3 pair of pants (which I desperately needed and after literally trying 30 pair on), a couple shirts, an armoire, a high chair, some wallflowers from Bath and Body, some jewelry, and lastly and my favorite....my cuttlebug!! Yay!! I finally got a cuttlebug. I almost didn't make the extra hour drive to the craft store but I did and I am so glad I did. I got it for 50% off, and they had all the cuttlebug stuff for 40% off so I bought some embossing folders and extra mats for 40% off. I also bought a couple of watercolor pencils to color my bella stamps. It was a long exhauting but fun day. I got home around 9 pm, got the kids in bed and went straight to bed myself.

Today has been a nice relaxing day, I got up and went to church, it was Kade's week to stay home with the kids. For those of you that don't know, we have pretty much been housebound for almost a month now...haven't taken our kids anywhere to keep them healthy. It has worked and been effective, we haven't even had runny noses. There is so much RSV, bronchitis, and pnumonia going around and now some terrible flu. We just can't chance it with them. Soo, I went to church it was a nice meeting and primary was great. I just love my primary kids and being in the presidency. Those women I work with are such an inspiration. Then I came home to a wonderfully cleaned up house and lunch that my dear husband surprised me with. It was so nice of him to put forth that extra effort. The kid's napped, Kade and I laid around together and laughed and caught up on life....its sad when the week goes by and we really don't even get to talk to each other, and now it is bed time. Where have the days gone lately? It is Monday already !! yuk. Soo, my house is clean, and tomorrow I get to start playing and creating with my new toys. Soo exciting.

The best and funnest highlight of my whole weekend....my wonderful, artistic, so talented grandma...shares my passion for creating, when she saw some of my bella creations she had to know where to find them to get herself some. We got talking and I told her that I was needing to find a good marker set as all I have right now are half a dozen bright colored pencils. She immediately understood how dire it was for me to have some, and found me some really nice sets that she uses herself and loves. So she sent me the website today to pick out the colors that I want and ordered them for me. Her treat!! AND a 24 piece set of watercolor pencils. Now I absolutely have no excuse not to get busy and work on some projects. Yay!! (jumping up and down). So that is my weekend, nothing too fabulous.

The pics are of Kash today in his new high chair and Kadence in her "ballet dress" that I bought her for $8 yesterday...that she has danced around in all day. Such dolls. What a wonderful family I have. I am truly blessed.

Be My Valentine!!

Soo...this is my first post, and I am so excited. I think this will be a great way for friends and family to keep up on us and what we are doing. Also for me to share with you pictures of my darling kids and projects. lol What a great way to journal too and have all this for my records later. Yay! So these pictures were taken Sunday the 10th, we celebrated my mom's 50th Birthday, which was actually Monday. It was so so fun to have my whole family up here and to get to see everyone. I know that I am very blessed to have the family I do, and to be close and friends with all of them. Yesterday was Valentine's Day, Kade and I never go all out for it. Maybe we should, who knows. Anyway he came home with a Pepsi and a box of gummy fish candies for me, and a box of them for Kadence. He kissed us each and told us he loved us. Kadence gave him a book that I made of our family and had it bound and put into a hard back version . It turned out really cute. She gave it to him and said "Happy luv day!" I want him to take it to work and set on his desk in his office, to remind him sometimes why he works so hard and what he has to come home to. He really liked it. Anyway, I guess this is enough for my 1st post ever and I better start thinking of my next one. Happy Valentines Day! one day late.
